Role: Unrivaled Group is looking for a strategic thinker to lead digital and traditional media buying for our Austin-based agency.

You are adept and analyzing metrics and have experience across all forms of paid, owned, earned media, traditional and digital strategy, SEM, and display and are comfortable leading client media planning, measurement, and optimization.

  • Plan and execute paid digital media campaigns for a diverse array of B2B and B2C brands
  • Media property evaluation and recommendations based on the most effective opportunities and position to deliver success
  • Maintain close relationships with national, regional, and local platform media reps for the best client-facing solutions
  • Manage day-to-day tasks associated with stewarding client-approved media plans
  • Develop objective-based performance models and create the necessary attribution (partners, pixels, analytics)
  • Develop campaign reporting documents and formulate optimization recommendations for client presentation
  • Understanding of available vendors, targeting, and optimizations related to objective-based performance
  • Hands-on experience working with paid Social Media, AdWords, and Programmatic buying platform
  • Experience with third-party ad servers (DoubleClick, Atlas, Flashtalking, PointRoll, MediaMind, etc.)
  • Knowledge of print, broadcast, OOH, and/or experiential planning
  • Experience working with syndicated research tools (comScore, Nielsen, MRI, etc.)
  • Maintain and organize all media budget documents and traffic documentation
  • Develop an understanding of the client’s business environment and strategy and lead strategic client activations on a daily basis
  • Select appropriate frameworks, tools, media and can build a strategic plan approach to solve client problems
  • Lead team and clients to define project objectives, set key performance metrics, and establish project approach
  • Assemble strategic insights into presentations for mid and C-Suite level clients
  • Act as an internal resource, championing our content /storytelling / digital innovation whenever possible
  • Have a clear understanding and be proficient in media buying and analysis including Google Ads, digital placements, traditional media (TV, radio, print, direct mail), Google Analytics, organic and paid social media, email marketing, and can create client optimizations based on the data and performance
  • Comfortable negotiating and reconciling media outlet accounts, placements, and reporting
  • Perform competitive analysis and identify gaps and opportunities, in our clients’ industries
  • Be able to lead executive/expert interviews and client presentations
  • Manage, optimize and report on client strategic engagements
  • Oversee audience research activities (in conjunction with client or 3rd party) research, teams
  • Keep abreast of emerging behaviors, technologies, and companies that are changing our client’s businesses
  • Contribute to business development and thought leadership activities for our clients and the agency


  • 3-5 years of relevant, diverse media experience with a strong knowledge of online media – including media properties, online advertising, paid search, paid social, ad-serving, programmatic buying, and media integration
  • Understanding of the interaction between strategy, content, and audience management
  • Proven experience creating and implementing offline media, social media / real-time marketing campaigns
  • Understanding of community management, advocacy, influencer outreach, and best practices specific to the social media landscape
  • Working knowledge of major social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, Instagram, Pinterest, YouTube, etc.) as well as emerging platforms
  • Exhibit strong attention to detail and comprehensive follow-through
  • Extensive and previous Google Ads Campaign Experience, preferably Google Ads Certified
